In order to improve the distribution of the clothing, blankets and other winter wear from our Blanket Sunday collection, we have undertaken an effort to visit a limited number of Conferences in the more needy areas. Utilizing the trucks normally used to pick up donations, the Central Office, with the support of the Conferences, transport and hand out items to the needy in the area. The parish Conference sponsoring the "Winter on Wheels" publicizes the event and qualifies the needy that benefit from the distribution of these items. The number of locations visited is dependent on the requests from the Conferences and the availability of items.

By putting this winter program on wheels, we provide the person – to – person service that is the cornerstone of the SVDP mission.
