Donate Quality Used Items   (click on pictures to enlarge)

Your tax deductible donation of clean, usable furniture, clothing and household items are used to support our voucher based clothing and furniture bank programs or to resell in our thrift shop to support the operation of all our community programs.

We gratefully accept furniture and household goods (including lamps, pots, dishes, small appliances and bedding), clothing, fans, heaters and most other items. We also accept large appliances, such as stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers that are in good working condition.

Donations of vehicles, including cars, trucks, boats, etc. are also tax deductible and the proceeds are used to support our many programs. The simple donation process takes just a few minutes by calling (216) 741-7837, ext. 100.

Donations may be made at our Thrift Store, 6610 Biddulph Road, Brooklyn, Ohio during business hours. If you are donating furniture or other large items, along with smaller items, you can schedule a pickup of the items. Call (216) 741-7837, ext 101, Monday through Friday during business hours to arrange a convenient time for the pickup. You can also drop off clothing and smaller household items at the many drop boxes.

Guidelines for donated items

While we appreciate our donors’ generosity, for a variety of reasons, St. Vincent de Paul has established the following guidelines for donated goods:

Please insure that all donated items are in clean, serviceable condition, and they are not torn, broken or in need of repair. We do not have the capability to repair donated items.

We pickup clean, serviceable household furniture, but we do not accept business furniture.

We will pickup both gas and electric appliances, but they must be in working condition.

For product liability reasons, St. Vincent de Paul is unable to accept car seats, strollers, high chairs and cribs. Similarly, for health reasons, we do not accept stuffed animals.

We do not accept the following items because there is little or no demand for them: wooden crutches, encyclopedias, console TVs and stereos, sewing machines, wicker baskets and magazines.

We do not accept the remnants from garage sales, rummage sales, or flea markets.
