WHO WE ARE (Click on picture for voice message)
Since 1865, the St. Vincent de Paul Society has cared for the
needy and
disadvantaged of the Cleveland, Akron, Lorain, Lake, Geauga, Medina,
Ashland and Wayne county areas. Through home visits, food , clothing and
furniture programs, thrift stores and outreach programs, St. Vincent de Paul
provides support to individuals in need regardless of race, origin, religion or
gender.
Our base of more than 1500 volunteers is the foundation of our
organization. These members work in nearly 160
Conferences, generally associated with
parishes throughout the Cleveland Catholic Diocese, to care for people in their
own neighborhoods. Conferences that are able to collect more than they need for
their own neighbors share their time, talent and treasure with less fortunate
Conferences.
In addition, our members voluntarily support the operation of our Thrift Store, Food Pantry and Clothing and Furniture Programs .
We invite you to visit our Volunteer Opportunities page to learn more about how you can share your gifts and resources to help the needy of our area. Together we can make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters.
