FURNITURE PROGRAM  (Click on pictures to enlarge)

Our Furniture Program is intended to help individuals and families who are rebuilding their lives or who simply are in need. It provides basic furniture needed to set people on the path to regaining their dignity. The program makes available (subject to availability) up to five (5) pieces of basic furniture, beds, sofas, occasional chairs, chests, table and chairs up to stated allowances per piece. SVDP is one of the only charities that accepts donated furniture, so the requests often exceed the supply.

All SVDP Conferences at local Catholic parishes have been given furniture vouchers that they may use for parishioners and other needy individuals or families within their own parish boundaries. The Conference, after a confidential visitation with the "client" has the authority to issue a voucher to be redeemed in our Thrift Store at 6700 Biddulph Road. Furniture vouchers may only be issued once every twelve (12) months to a household. "Clients" are responsible for arranging for the delivery of all furniture. We have no delivery available. Furniture vouchers may be redeemed Tuesday and Thursday only from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Vouchers are also issued by certain agencies throughout the area we serve. These agencies serve specific segments of the population and cooperate with and benefit from St. Vincent de Paul’s programs to provide basic furniture to the needy.

For more information about how to obtain or redeem furniture vouchers, please call (216) 741-7837, ext 107.
