SVDP Teams with Premier Development Partners

Since 2013, Premier Development Partners has been donating warehouse space to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Cleveland (SVDP) to store blankets, sheets, beds and clothing for distribution to needy individuals and families in Northeast Ohio. In an effort to expand its outreach in the community, Premier Development Partners will now also supply SVDP with employee volunteers as necessary, who will help the nonprofit serve the poor via its food pantries and other emergency assistance . . .

St. Vincent de Paul Society marking 150 years in Northeast Ohio

GREATER AKRON — The St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP), in the Diocese of Cleveland, is celebrating 150 years of service to Northeast Ohioans.

Tracing its roots to Civil War times, the organization now boasts 1,000 volunteers from 63 Catholic parishes in eight counties, said Executive Director John Litten. Many of those volunteers are from the Akron area and include the parishioners of St. Hilary in Fairlawn, St. Sebastian in West Akron, St. Victor in Richfield and Mother of Sorrows in Peninsula. . .
